Seasonal Reminders
Harvest Pumpkins
Leave the knub on the end to prevent Pumpkin from rotting.
Pick Tomatoes
Pick tomatoes as soon as fruit shows hint of colouring. They will ripen a lot quicker on sunny window sills than left on the vine.
Remove old leaves
Remove old leave from Oriental Hellebores and send to tip or burn . The old leaves harbor aphids and take forever to rot down in the compost heap. Feed Hellebores with rose fertilizer and with gypsum.
Adjust mower
Lift mower a notch when mowing from now until new grass growth in spring.
Sow seed
Sow broad bean seed.
